Vintage Black-Glazed Ceramic Oil Lamps with Original Oil-Burner Mechanism

An unusual pair of similar vintage black-glazed ceramic oil-lamp bodies, each with a different hand-painted decorative scheme. Both retain the original visible oil-burning mechanism: the aged metal burner, circular collar, perforated gallery and side ignition wheel/key are rigorously represented in the photographs.

Condition and contents

Vintage condition, with signs of age and handling consistent with the period and with the decorative finish. The lamps are supplied without lampshades and without a lampholder. No modern socket, cable or plug has been added to the photographed objects; the original oil-lamp mechanism remains visible.

Please study all photographs carefully: the two lamps are similar but not identical, and are offered either separately or together as described above.
