Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights available under applicable consumer law.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
We aim to describe and photograph every product as accurately as reasonably possible.
Colours and textures can appear differently depending on the screen, lighting conditions and device used to view the website.
Handmade products can show small variations in stitching, placement, dimensions and finish. These variations reflect individual production and are not faults where they do not materially alter the agreed product.
VINTAGE PRODUCTS
Vintage lamps and decorative objects may show age-related wear, patina, minor irregularities, repairs or signs of previous use.
Known condition issues will be described and photographed as accurately as reasonably possible. Customers should review the complete description and all available photographs before purchasing.
Where a maker, origin or date is stated, the description reflects the information and evidence reasonably available at the time of listing.
MEASUREMENTS AND COMPATIBILITY
Product dimensions are provided as accurately as reasonably possible. Minor tolerances may occur in handmade products.
Customers are responsible for checking dimensions, proportions and compatibility before ordering, particularly in relation to:
• lampshade fittings and lamp-holder rings;
• lamp-base proportions;
• electrical fittings and bulb requirements;
• bespoke measurements;
• access and installation requirements for large products.
Contact us before ordering if you are uncertain about compatibility.
PERSONALISED AND BESPOKE ORDERS
The customer is responsible for providing accurate initials, wording, colours, measurements and other personalisation details.
The specification agreed in writing forms part of the order.
Once production has begun or materials have been cut, embroidered or prepared to the agreed specification, a personalised or bespoke order may no longer be cancellable.
Small variations inherent in handmade production do not constitute a failure to follow the agreed specification.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website.
Delivery charges and any applicable taxes collected by the store are shown at checkout before payment.
For international orders, additional customs duties, import taxes or carrier charges may be payable by the recipient where they are not collected at checkout.
An order is not accepted until payment has been authorised and an order confirmation has been issued.
ORDER ACCEPTANCE AND CANCELLATION
We reserve the right to cancel and refund an order where:
• a product is no longer available;
• the listed price or product information contains a material error;
• payment cannot be authorised;
• the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled;
• the delivery destination or requested service is unavailable;
• the order is suspected to involve fraud or unlawful activity.
If we cancel an order after payment, the amount paid will be refunded to the original payment method.
SHIPPING, RETURNS AND REFUNDS
Shipping, cancellations, returns and refunds are governed by the Shipping Policy and the Return and Refund Policy published on this website.
ELECTRICAL AND VINTAGE LIGHTING
Vintage electrical products may have fittings, plugs or wiring associated with their country and period of origin.
Before use, vintage lamps should be checked for compatibility with the electrical system and safety requirements of the destination country.
Where inspection, rewiring, adaptation or installation is required, it must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician.
Customers must follow the bulb type and maximum wattage stated for the product or fitting.
PROHIBITED USE
You must not use the website or its products for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose, interfere with the operation or security of the website, or attempt to obtain unauthorised access to its systems.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the original text, branding, product photographs and other content created for The Lamp Lady may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission.
Third-party names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify or describe products where appropriate.
THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The store uses Shopify and may use third-party payment, delivery and technical services.
These providers may process information or provide services under their own terms and privacy policies.
LIABILITY
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer, incompatible use, unauthorised alteration, improper installation, failure to follow care instructions or events outside our reasonable control.
CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the website, services or applicable requirements.
The version published at the time an order is placed will apply to that order, unless a change is required by law.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by Italian law, without depriving consumers residing in another country of any mandatory protections available to them under the law applicable to consumer contracts.
