Handmade Hot Air Balloon Lampshade

Bring the romance of historic travel and early aviation into your home with this handmade lampshade, featuring richly detailed hot air balloons in burgundy red, navy blue, cream and antique gold.

Printed on a textured cotton-blend fabric with a naturally coarse weave, the design recalls vintage travel illustrations, nineteenth-century engravings and the imaginative world of early balloon flight. The warm ivory background and carefully balanced colours make it suitable for nurseries, children’s bedrooms, studies, libraries, reading corners and distinctive living spaces.

Each lampshade is individually handmade in Italy. The exterior fabric is applied to a rigid PVC lampshade structure, with a clean white or gold interior that helps reflect and distribute the light evenly.

The lampshade can be used with table lamps, floor lamps or pendant fittings, depending on the shape and size selected.

The lampshade is compatible with standard E27 fittings and can also be used with E14 fittings using the supplied reducer ring.

For American lamp fittings, a harp-and-spider fitting may be available on request. Please contact us before ordering to confirm compatibility.
