Geometric Red Lacquered and Brass-Finished Table Lamp, Possibly Attributed to Jean-Claude Mahey

A distinctive geometric vintage table lamp with a rectangular red lacquered body, brass-finished frame and stepped base. An applied character-like ornament decorates the front, creating a bold graphic detail and giving the lamp a particularly sculptural appearance.

The design is reminiscent of 1970s lamps attributed to Jean-Claude Mahey. This is a cautious stylistic attribution, subject to confirmation by a maker’s label, signature or documented provenance.

The lamp measures approximately 35 cm in height to the lamp holder and approximately 22 cm across the base. The electrical system has been rewired and is working, but is not certified. Lampshade not included.

Vintage condition, with signs of age and use. Any wear to the painted finish is shown where visible in the photographs. Please examine all images carefully, as they form part of the description.
